Dear Christian Friend,
This vile anti-Semitism would be disgusting coming from radical Islamic mullahs of Tehran who hate Israel and the Jewish people, but it wouldn’t be surprising. This wicked anti-Semitism would be disheartening coming from a Jew-hating terrorist organization like Hamas or Hezbollah, but it wouldn’t be surprising.
But the anti-Semitism I’m writing to you about today is shocking and disturbing and dangerous and surprising because it is coming from Washington…and New York City…and Chicago…and all across the United States.
A coalition of more than 30 student groups at Harvard released a statement completely supporting and defending Hamas and blaming Israel for the attacks.
BLM Chicago posted a picture on social media that showed a paragliding terrorist sporting a Palestinian flag and the caption “I Stand with Palestine.”
Members of the United States Congress have been outspoken in condemning Israel.
In fact, Representative Rashida Tlaib was formally censured by the House of Representatives for remarks supporting Hamas, including the infamous slogan “From the river to the sea,” which is nothing less than a call for the complete destruction of Israel.
The Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres told a special session of the Security Council the attacks were Israel’s fault. He said:
“It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing.”
None of this is by accident.
Generations of young people have been bathed in a toxic bath of anti-Semitism that has infected our education system.
The effectiveness of anti-Israel propaganda on young people in America was revealed when a survey showed that 51% of people between 18-24 felt that the Hamas attack was justified!
I’m Dr. Mike Evans, the founder of the Jerusalem Prayer Team. My children and grandchildren live in this country, and I don’t want them to live in a land where the wrath of God is being poured out in righteous judgment…and that is exactly what would happen if America does not stand firmly with Israel.
People often talk about the blessing God promised Abraham to provide for those who blessed his descendants. That promise is true, and you and I have seen it fulfilled in our lives time and again.
But the other part of that promise is true as well. In Hebrew, it says that God will inflict “heavy blows” on those who curse His Chosen People.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said, “I consider Zionism to be racism.” She calls the detention centers Israel uses to arrest Palestinian terrorists concentration camps. She says that the Palestinians have no options but to riot and attack.
What utter nonsense!
America must not handcuff Israel and hamper its ability to defend itself. If Israel fails to respond effectively to this great threat, it will guarantee an absolute Holocaust for the Jewish people.
America must not curse Israel. We must speak out and do whatever we can to make sure our long tradition of support for God’s Chosen People continues. Edmund Burke was right when he said, “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”
Today I’m asking you to do three things to show your support of Israel. First, I am asking you to pray. We are fighting a spiritual battle. There is a demonic power behind these attacks on Israel, and it can only be overcome in the spirit realm. I believe that you love God’s Chosen People and pray for them regularly, but I am asking you to make this a specific and intense focus of prayer.
Second, I’m asking you to add your name below to the petition we’re going to send to my friends Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator Ted Cruz. Both of them attended the official gala to celebrate the dedication of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, which was held at our Friends of Zion Center in the Holy City. We’re asking them to use their influence and positions to ensure that every attempt to handcuff Israel and force them to stop doing what is necessary to defend their people is stopped.
Third, I need your financial help. We are fighting a battle against principalities and powers, just as Daniel did. Satan fears our prayers. We must have the resources to fight and win this battle and to meet the urgent needs of those who are suffering in Israel. God told me that if we will get out of the boat (our financial comfort zone) and walk on the water, He will show up, and we will win the battle.
Sometimes God stills the storm, but most of the time He stills us while He turns the power of the storm into a ball of holy fire to cast at our enemies. The Jew-haters may have decided that they can get away with being anti-Israel by declaring that Zionism is racism. They may say that you and I are racists because we support Israel. They are wrong. They are doing the work of the devil, the father of lies, and we must not let them win.
With a gift of any amount, we will send you the Psalm 121:7 Scripture tag. On the front, it bears the promise that, “The Lord will keep you from all harm…He will watch over your life” as well as the inscription “Oct 7, 2023, Never Again,” while the back says the same thing in Hebrew.
If you can send a gift of $30 or more, we will send you a beautiful Friends of Zion olivewood pen. The olive tree is an important part of Israel’s history. This laser-engraved pen is a beautiful writing implement, but far more, it will be a constant prayer reminder as you use it throughout the day. You will also receive the Psalm 121:7 Scripture tag.
If you are able to send a gift of $60 or more, you will receive the Bible Promise Box. You may remember someone in your family having one. This box is filled with small cards that contain God’s promises for your life that you can select and read each day. You will also receive the olivewood pen and the Psalm 121:7 Scripture tag.
And if you are able to send a gift of $100 or more, we will send you an authentic ram’s horn shofar. Since ancient times, these trumpets have been used by the Jewish people for worship or for battle. You will be proud to display it in your home or office. You will also receive the Psalm 121:7 Scripture tag, the olivewood pen, and the Bible Promise Box.
The ministry of the Jerusalem Prayer Team has never been needed more than it is right now. We are seeing a rise in anti-Semitism around the world.
We’re seeing it in the United States and even in Congress. We’re seeing it on social media. And sadly, we’re seeing it in physical attacks — not just in the Middle East, but right here in the United States as well. There’s a lot going on in our world right now, but we must not lose sight of this vital issue. We need your help right now. Anti-Semitism is on the rise, and we must answer the challenge to stand against it.
Will you be part of this great work of God in defense of His Chosen People today? I pray that your answer will be YES.
Your ambassador to Jerusalem,
Dr. Mike Evans
P.S. If we don’t act now, history will repeat. The world stood by and did nothing while the Holocaust took place. We must not let that tragedy happen again. Please stand with us today in prayer and with your generous financial support. We really need to hear from you right now.
Help Build a Wall of Defense for Israel
God has called and commissioned us to take a stand against anti-Semitism directed at Jewish people all around the world. Together we are standing in the gap, fighting the spirit war for Israel’s future. And together we are meeting the urgent physical needs of the poor of the House of Israel. Your generous and sacrificial gift today will help continue all of our work to bless and defend God’s Chosen People.
YES, Dr. Evans, I want to be part of God’s plan for the defense of Israel by standing against the anti-Semitism of the Jew-haters and blessing His Chosen People by meeting their urgent needs.
My special gift for the Jerusalem Prayer Team is:
