Stand in the Gap for Israel

The response of so much of the world to the war that started with the deadly Hamas attack and has continued ever since is a stark reminder of the depths of Jew-hatred and the demonic evil that seeks to destroy God’s Chosen People. 

While this evil is not new, it is more active in our world right now than at any point in our lifetimes. And we MUST respond.

While America has long been a friend and supporter of the Jewish people, even before the nation of Israel was miraculously reborn in 1948, that is rapidly changing. 

Poll after poll shows a decline in support for Israel, and a rise in people blaming them for the war.

And that is showing up in Washington, D.C. and threatening to undo the bonds that have connected America and Israel…and threatening to undo the blessings our nation has received for blessing God’s Chosen People through the years.

On the Senate floor, Charles Schumer called for new elections in Israel to overthrow the Netanyahu government. 

When Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the joint session of Congress in July a large number of Senators and Representatives refused to attend, as a way to express their disapproval of Israel’s fight to defend itself and survive.

Imagine the pain of Israelis who watched their loved one being raped, burned alive, and beheaded, as they saw protesters screaming in the streets of America and on university campuses, “From the river to the sea.” 

The United States is foolishly turning its back on Israel.

This is nothing less than a curse on Israel, and if it happens, America will be cursed like nothing we have ever experienced before. We must act now to stop this from happening.

I’m Dr. Mike Evans, and it is my privilege to be the founder and head of Friends of Zion. Things are happening in the Middle East right now that have dramatic implications for the future. And things are happening in America right now that will determine whether we have God’s blessing or His judgment.

We are working to counter the lies being told about Israel with the truth. We are rallying Believers to pray fervently and urgently. At the foundational level, this is a spirit war between good and evil, between light and darkness, between God and Satan. And spirit wars have to be fought and won with spiritual weapons.

And we are putting feet to our prayers. From the day the war started, we have been reaching out to the suffering people of Israel. 

Our Rapid Response teams on the ground provided food, medicine, clothing, and emergency supplies to people who had lost everything. I have been to Israel six times since the war started as a voice of help and hope to the nation.

We held a prayer event for the families of the hostages at Friends of Zion. We are helping the victims and also widows and orphans and first responders and soldiers with tourniquets to save their lives, as well as taking food to the homeless and Holocaust survivors who are hiding and afraid to go out. I have held these beloved suffering souls in my arms, weeping with them.

There are refugee families living at the Friends of Zion Center in Jerusalem. I ate with them and through their pain and sorrow, they expressed their gratitude for our help. 

They found refuge because of the love and generosity of friends like you. Israel’s minister of education has approved the Friends of Zion Center as the site for a school for refugee children from the south to have classes.

But there is so much more that needs to be done. 

We are giving $50 vouchers to refugees, Holocaust survivors, IDF soldiers, widows, and others in desperate need. These are issued by the government of Israel, and we are paying for them. This allows these precious people to buy exactly what is most important to them and get a few things to replace all that they have lost…and all that they need for the days ahead. Will you sponsor one…or ten…or fifty…or more? Tens of thousands of Israelis are still homeless, and many of those are widows and orphans.
